“I love and RESPECT music. I appreciate the sounds, the rhythms, the feelings it invokes, the way it can make you think and how it can shift atmospheres and environments. The right song can turn a small gathering into a house party. The smoothest baseline can resurrect fond childhood memories of long vacation rides in the car, while your dad (an Air Force Veteran) is playing one of his favorite joints…and then after a while, it becomes YOUR favorite joint! As a lover of music over multiple decades, I’ve come to prefer the Urban music genre. I grew up in the early Hip-Hop culture. I was raised hearing R&B and Funk. I liked the catchy Pop songs…and I took in some House and Reggae on occasion. Now, over 4 decades into this life, and 20 years in DJing (first learning to DJ at North Carolina A&T State University “AGGIE PRIDE”), I’m a promoter of Kingdom Music…specifically the Urban Christian music genres. As a Kingdom believer (and an Air Force “brat”), I believe this music has the ability to shift mindsets and change hearts. When it plays, it penetrates the atmosphere in a way that will be both enjoyable and life-changing. And the great thing about it is, you can get buck wild, and not feel like you are doing anything wrong! And by the way, I still rock the old school that I grew up with, because we all love a little nostalgia, right?

At Ruwa Entertainment, these are the experiences I want to help give to YOU! Ruwa Entertainment (based in Huntsville, AL) offers DJ services for Urban Christian music genres, and Urban “old school” music from the 70s, 80s and 90s. We’ve had a weekly show on the BULLSEYE 95.5 FM station in Oxford, MS; currently serve as the primary DJ for Motion Night, the monthly youth service for middle school/high school students at Church of the Highlands Huntsville, AL Campus, and regularly support the Serve Teams (Saturday Serve and Community Nights) for Church of the Highlands, at the Northwood Community in Huntsville, AL
